Host University University of Birmingham Edgbaston Campus, United Kingdom University of Birmingham About the Scholarship The Islam Fund finances this scholarship, which is aimed at postgraduate studies in Islam and Christian, Muslim Relations. The main goal is to enable bright students from anywhere in the world to study a Masters (MA Islamic Studies) degree at Birmingham by either reducing the tuition fee costs or waiving them entirely. University of Birmingham What the Scholarship Covers Up to 100% of the tuition fees may be covered (tuition fee discount) for the MA Islamic Studies programme. An International student as well as a Home student (UK fee status) can avail of this offer. There is no restriction on nationality. University of Birmingham Note: The award covers tuition fees only it does not provide for living costs, travel, accommodation, health insurance, or a stipend.
Funds for NGOs Eligibility Requirements:
The Islam Scholarship is open to candidates who:, Have applied for the MA Islamic Studies program starting in the 2026 academic year, Are not currently enrolled in the master’s degree (i.e., must be a new applicant),
Submit their study application and the scholarship application together, Provide two, Are going back to their country of usual residence after finishing their studies,
Do not hold or combine this award with any other scholarship (including partnership scholarships) University of Birmingham Students from any country can apply there is no restriction based on the country.
Both Home & International tuition fee status applicants are eligible.

Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants for the Islam Scholarship must comply with the conditions listed below.
- Programme Requirement Applicants should apply for the MA Islamic Studies programme at the University of Birmingham
- New Applicants OnlyThis scholarship is only available to new students who are not already registered on the programme.
- NationalityThe scholarship is open to students of all nationalities, including UK (Home) and International students.
- Academic Merit Applicants must have excellent academic achievements and show a sustained interest in Islamic Studies.
- Return Requirement Successful candidates are required to return to their country of normal residence after completing their studies.
- Exclusive Funding RuleThe Islam Scholarship cannot be combined with any other scholarships, including partnership or external funding awards.
- ReferencesTwo academic references should be submitted via the official University funding reference system.
- If an applicant fails to satisfy any of these requirements, the application may be rejected.
